Job summary

CoxFleet, a leading mobile fleet service provider, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment. Strong diagnostic skills and adherence to safety standards are essential.

You will work under a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician, document work on RO via an iOS TRAIT app, manage parts, and communicate with clients and management. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED or equivalent in related discipline.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months preferred or required.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations and DOT physical/background screening required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to operate independently with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain service truck and inventory; obtain parts as needed.
• Document findings and RO details using iOS TRAIT app.
• Communicate estimates and RO findings with management.
