Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT and preventative maintenance on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. You will perform diagnostics, repairs and tests, while maintaining accurate documentation via company tools.

You will work with safety and regulatory standards, manage parts and collaborate with clients to meet repair needs and timelines. This role requires independent scheduling and adherence to high performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience or equivalent.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT regulatory pre-employment background and DOT physical.
• Valid driver’s license and state residency requirements.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document work orders with photos.
• Maintain safety checks and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT rules.
