Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. Work from a company-issued truck with a DOT focus, traveling to sites nationwide.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, conduct road tests, manage parts, and document findings via TRAIT on an iOS device. This role requires strong independence and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections required.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Strong diagnostic skills for diesel equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Repair and diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and update repair orders via TRAIT.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
• Work independently and prioritize tasks.
