Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to mid-range repairs in a mobile/field setting.

The role requires maintaining tools, documenting work, and coordinating with customers, with supervision for advanced diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have 3 years' related experience or 5 years in related field, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and DOT medical/ background screening compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience, or 5 years' related experience.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Must be able to pass DOT background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and company service truck equipment.
• Document all work and upload RO photos using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT safety regulations.
