Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires strong diagnostics, ability to work night shifts Sunday to Wednesday, and adherence to DOT regulations.

You will manage parts on a service truck, document RO findings using TRAIT, and communicate with clients to ensure service quality while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possess ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT regulatory knowledge and valid DOT medical card required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems; use diagnostic tools and handheld devices.
• Document work performed and parts used; complete DOT forms promptly.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnoses; communicate with management for approvals.
