Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems, while maintaining accurate documentation on an iOS device and TRAIT platform.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, safety compliance, and high productivity across multiple vehicle types with on-site client interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years in a related field are required.
• Experience performing PMs and DOT inspections is preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in field/mobile settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on a range of vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems.
• Document work in the RO system using an iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and manage parts and repair estimates.
• Maintain safety, compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT policies.
