Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex systems, road testing, inventory management, and documenting work with the TRAIT app, while adhering to DOT, OSHA, and EPA standards. ASE T8 certification within 18 months is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience; or 5 years in related field.
• Own a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Able to pass a DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper function.
• Manage parts inventory and the service truck; document work using RO forms.
• Use TRAIT iOS app to upload photos, parts used, and findings.
• Maintain safety and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT policies.
