Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and diagnostic work in a mobile/field setting. You will work with light to heavy-duty trucks, handling repairs and road tests while following safety and DOT guidelines.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3 (or 5) years in related fields and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. Expect flexible scheduling and strong career development in a nationwide service network.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus 3 years in related field (or 5 years experience).
• Must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated background screen and DOT physical prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engines, transmissions and other systems.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and company vehicle.
• Complete DOT forms and documentation accurately and timely.
