Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile field setting. You will diagnose, repair, and test a range of truck equipment while adhering to safety and DOT regulations.

You will manage parts, document findings, and coordinate with management for approvals. A valid CDL/driver's license and ASE T8 certification plan are required within 18 months.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED with 3 years related field experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must complete DOT/FMCSA requirements and DOT physical.
• Valid driver's license and 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Document work performed and parts used on RO using iOS TRAIT app.
• Obtain parts from approved vendors and communicate with management for repairs.
