Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting and across our nationwide service centers.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, document RO entries via an iOS device, and maintain DOT compliance under FMCSA rules. Safety, reliability, and problem-solving are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field or 5 years experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and pre-employment screening.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and drive systems.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and safety compliance.
• Document findings and parts used via Repair Orders on iOS.
• Maintain safety checks and operate service truck.
• Coordinate with management for approvals and RO documentation.
