Job summary

CoxFleet in Denver, CO is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems and document findings using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.

The role requires 3 years’ related experience (or 5 years in related work), ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and the ability to pass DOT background and medical requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance; pass pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one before employment.
• Minimum age 21 years due to interstate commerce.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to maintain Driver Qualification File.
• Class C Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and use company truck with RO documentation in TRAIT.
• Document findings and upload RO details via iOS TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and management to obtain approvals on estimates and PO numbers.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain daily pre-/post-trip inspections.
