Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and light-to-mid level repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months and a high school diploma or GED with related experience.

Technicians will manage a service truck, use diagnostic tools, and coordinate with management for repair estimates. Competitive weekly pay and company-provided gear & training are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years related experience (or 5 years in related field).
• Must supply hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background screen and DOT physical required (or valid DOT medical card).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems, engines, transmissions and other truck components.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Maintain service truck and ensure daily pre/post-trip inspections are completed.
• Document work and upload RO photos using iOS TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals on estimates and RO findings.
