Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems using handheld devices and complete documentation accurately.

The role requires HS diploma, 3 years related experience or a combination thereof, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. DOT compliance and valid license are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related field experience acceptable.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months if not already held.
• DOT regulations background and valid DOT medical card preferred.
• Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and operation.
• Maintain inventory and service truck; document work on RO via mobile device.
