Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, light repairs, and diagnostics in a mobile environment. You will handle electrical, cooling, and engine systems, validate work with instrumentation, and document all findings using the TRAIT app.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently in a field setting with strong safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience (or 5 years alternative).
• Own set of hand tools required for duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid drivere29s license and ability to operate company service truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems as assigned.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation post-repairs.
• Maintain/ inventory parts and document work orders using company TRAIT app.
