Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, test, and repair truck equipment and document all findings using our TRAIT app and RO system.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid driver's license, and compliance with DOT/OSHA/EPA rules. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen months.
• Meet DOT/FMCSA requirements, including background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver’s license; must be at least 21 years old.
• DOT medical card can substitute for a DOT physical if >4 months remaining.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and drive-train systems.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment using appropriate tools and instruments.
• Road test vehicles and document findings on Repair Orders with photos.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with management for repairs and approvals.
