Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Reefer Technician Level II to support our nationwide on-site maintenance program. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on refrigerated equipment and trucks in mobile/field settings.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED, 3 years with refrigerated equipment, ASE T8 within 18 months, and possessing your own hand tools; valid driver’s license and DOT screening are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Certified to use refrigerants R134, R404, R410; ASE T8 within 18 months.
• Must have own hand tools to perform required duties.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical as per FMCSA requirements.
• Valid driver’s license; 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections on trucks and trailers in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair/replace components and systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and follow-up repairs on light–heavy vehicles.
• Operate and troubleshoot electrical, cooling and engine systems.
• Document work performed and parts used on RO via TRAIT app.
