Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Reefer Trailer Technician II for on-site work performing certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on refrigerated trailers and related equipment. Tasks include repairing compressors, coils, electrical components, and other trailer systems while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires working at customer sites with independent scheduling, managing parts, and documenting findings via the TRAIT app.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years’ related field experience; alternative combinations accepted.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment and DOT inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigerated trailer equipment.
• Diagnose and repair components such as compressors, coils, electrical parts.
• Complete DOT inspections and follow safety procedures.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment.
• Document work and upload RO photos using iOS device and TRAIT app.
