Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Reefer Trailer Technician II to provide on-site maintenance and DOT inspections for refrigerated trailers. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, light repairs, and documenting service on customer sites.

Independent work with support from senior technicians and adherence to safety standards is required. This on-site position involves travel to various customer locations, maintaining the service truck, and following DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience.
• Certified to use refrigerants R134a, R404A, R410A and related tasks.
• ASE certifications preferred within 18 months (e.g., T8 PMI) and other listed endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct light repairs on trailers and refrigeration systems.
• Document work orders with parts used and findings; upload photos via TRAIT app.
• Work on-site at customer locations and manage parts inventory on service truck.
