Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & reefer Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role emphasizes diagnostics, safety, and efficient completion of service on refrigerated equipment and trucks.

You will document work in the TRAIT app, manage parts on a service truck, and coordinate with management for approvals and RO notes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; additional degree/certifications considered.
• 3+ years of related field experience preferred or 5+ years alternative.
• Refrigerated equipment experience a must.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months of hire.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations familiarity and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigerated equipment and trucks.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Accurately document work performed and parts used in RO and TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and vehicle readiness; meet productivity targets.
