Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform PMs, inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires diagnosing and repairing trucks and trailers, with the ability to manage tools, inventory, and documentation on a ROW device.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience, at least 3 years with refrigerated equipment, and a valid driver's license. DOT requirements apply, and OEM training is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience.
• At least 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools required to perform duties.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• Must complete DOT background screening and DOT physical or hold a valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel/gas engines, electrical systems, and brakes and transmissions.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using hand tools and test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation after repairs.
• Independently manage parts inventory on company service truck and document RO on TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
