Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role includes preventive maintenance, make-ready tasks, inventory management, and documentation of service requests on a Monday-Friday schedule with on-call rotation.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license for on-property golf carts, and flexibility to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling are required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and performs preventative maintenance to meet safety standards and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant units for leasing and move-ins by completing inspections and punch lists; coordinates vendors as needed.
• Obtains and tracks materials, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when possible, and using tools efficiently.
• Participates in safety meetings and may inspect contractor work to ensure quality and scope.
