Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of buildings meet safety, cleanliness and functional standards. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain common areas across Greystar-managed properties.

The role involves completing work orders, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting in make-ready tasks for vacant units. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per safety standards and code requirements.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins.
• Maintains documentation for service requests and inventory usage.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and basic painting as needed.
• Follows OSHA safety training and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Makes ready vacant units for leasing and move-ins.
• Tracks materials and notifies supervisor when reordering is needed.
• Documents service requests accurately and on time.
• Maintains grounds and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
