Job summary

SPS is seeking a Lead Mailroom Associate in Stamford, CT to lead mail and shipping/receiving operations for the onsite business service center. The role reports to the Client Services Supervisor or Manager and requires strong customer service and leadership skills.

Responsibilities include processing inbound/outbound mail, operating mail equipment, maintaining records, and training backups while ensuring prompt, courteous service to SPS employees and clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• 2+ years prior work experience preferred.
• 1+ year lead experience preferred, or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Analytical abilities and problem-solving aptitude.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer-based systems used for position functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound/outbound mail processing and distribution.
• Operate mail machines and manage mail/package transactions.
• Maintain records of receipts, mailing dates and other required information.
• Notify employees on inbound deliveries and distribute mail to personnel.
• Train backups and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to keep projects on schedule.
• Prepare and distribute reports on team progress.
• Coordinate day-to-day operational needs with supervisor.
