Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead, train, and supervise the on-site summer camp kitchen. You’ll own all prep and production for major meal periods, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety protocols in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

This on-site, live-in role requires a willingness to live in a rustic camp environment, work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week, and deliver scratch cooking with strong operational controls from kitchen leadership to campers and

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date, provided by the company.
Strong leadership, cooking skills, and ability to use a kitchen iPad for operations.
Able to identify all Big 9 Allergens and solve problems quickly.
Physically able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a rustic on-site setting.

Responsibilities

Lead and train kitchen staff to maintain high-energy, compliant operations.
Oversee all prep, production, and on-time meal service for designated day parts.
Manage inventory, ordering, and daily reporting within budget.
Ensure strict allergen protocols and Health Department sanitation standards.
Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
