Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership position at our rural US summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for the day part, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety in a fast-paced camp kitchen.

This on-site, live-in role requires a strong leader who can handle a high-volume environment, maintain quality, and coordinate with camp leadership across the season (May–Sept).

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, able to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen safety compliance and sanitation standards per Health Department guidelines.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
