Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead on-site operations at a rustic summer camp. You will oversee prep, production, and allergen safety while managing staff in a fast-paced kitchen.

This live-in, seasonal role runs May through September with 6-day weeks, offering competitive pay, a performance bonus, and full room and board. You will ensure high standards of quality and safety for campers with diverse dietary needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, able to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen & safety compliance and maintaining Health Department standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
