Job summary

Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking an IT Support Technician to deliver advanced support both remotely and on-site in Cary, IL. The role involves diagnosing complex issues across desktops, networks, servers, and core operating systems, ensuring minimal downtime and high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities include queue management, on-site visits, ticket ownership, client communication, and knowledge-base documentation. A 2–4 year IT background in MSP or fast-paced IT is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on information technology experience in MSP or fast-paced corporate IT environment.
• Advanced proficiency in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows client OS (Windows 11) and familiarity with macOS environments.
• Deep knowledge of desktop, laptop, and peripheral troubleshooting including printers/copiers and related devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to clients, monitoring support queues and troubleshooting issues.
• Respond to service desk tickets promptly and own them through closure.
• Perform on-site visits within the geographic region to resolve issues requiring hands-on intervention.
• Document procedures and troubleshooting information in the knowledge base/service catalog.
• Collaborate with clients, other technicians, and vendors on IT infrastructure projects.
