Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures on Canon equipment.

This customer-facing role requires travel, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment including shift/on-call rotations. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, 1–2 years of related experience, and a willingness to obtain required security clearances.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent required with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments.
• Ability to travel with valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment including shift/on-call rotations.
• Must obtain security/clearances as required by customers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stay active over 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated Canon equipment to Canon standards.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting.
• Meet and exceed customer demands with efficient, responsive maintenance.
• Maintain Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians.
• Offer solutions for escalated technical or customer service issues for any territory.
