Job summary

Canon USA is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician in Edmond, Oklahoma to diagnose and repair Canon-supported equipment at customer sites and in our facilities. This role requires basic technical skills, travel ability, and the stamina to work in a 24/7 environment and on-call rotations.

You will service mechanical, software, and network issues, maintain thorough Field Service Reports, and mentor less experienced technicians while upholding Canon standards and customer policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and completion of the PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel with valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on‑call rotations.
• Must take steps to obtain security and/or other clearances as required by customers.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting.
• Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate maintenance.
• Maintain Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians.
• Escalate technical and/or customer service-related problem areas as needed.
