Job summary

Canon USA is seeking an on-site Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair Canon equipment, perform maintenance, and ensure service quality. The role emphasizes rapid problem resolution, documentation through Field Service Reports, and adherence to Canon standards.

The technician will travel to customer sites as required and may supervise junior staff. You will join a team that values reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction, with a 24/7 operating environment and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience with 1–2 years of related experience.
Basic understanding of internet environments and basic IT concepts.
Ability to travel with valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Willingness to work a 24/7 environment with shift work and on-call rotations.
Ability to obtain security clearances as required by customers.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and basic diagnostics.
Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive field maintenance.
Maintain Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
Provide direction to less experienced technicians and escalate complex issues as needed.
