Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) is seeking an entry-level Case Manager to support clients in interim and permanent housing. You will join a team coordinating services, assessing needs, and linking participants to housing, health, and social supports.

On-site role in the Los Angeles area with fingerprint clearance required; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement. Experience with vulnerable populations is valued.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• Ability to handle emotional stress and challenging situations.
• Case Management training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment as part of a team to identify participant strengths and needs.
• Coaching for social support of participants.
• Care coordination, case management, system and housing navigation.
• Advocacy for participants before agencies and community settings.
• Capacity building by motivating progress and connecting to programs.
• Outreach and engagement to locate participants and enroll them.
