Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles seeks an Entry Level Case Manager to provide case management services for clients transitioning from homelessness to housing. You will operate on a team that coordinates services, conducts assessments, and supports individuals and families with housing navigation and care connections.

You will engage in outreach, education about health and social services, and capacity building to help participants access resources and achieve stability.

Qualifications

• Must pass a fingerprint clearance background check
• Ability to perform under emotional stress and with challenging clients
• California driver license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Assess participant strengths and needs as part of a team
• Coaching for social support and care coordination
• Advocate for participants before other agencies and community settings
• Outreach and engagement to locate participants and connect to services
• On-site service delivery and housing navigation
