Job summary

Ampcus, Inc is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to support enterprise data center servers in Warren, Ohio. The role requires hands-on hardware repair, installation, and maintenance of server components, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining AI-ready infrastructure when applicable.

You will diagnose hardware failures, perform BIOS/firmware updates, work with tools like Dell iDRAC, and collaborate with customers and internal teams during service events. On-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise servers and data center hardware.
• Experience installing, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing server components.
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.
• Experience with rack-mounted servers in data centers or field service.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and repair server hardware to minimize downtime.
• Install, replace, and maintain server components (RAM, CPUs, storage, RAID, NICs).
• Perform rack-and-stack, cabling, and hardware configuration.
• Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware, OS, and hardware issues.
• Use Dell iDRAC or similar tools for management.
• Document activities and resolutions; escalate complex issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and service events.
