Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to support enterprise data center and server infrastructure in Cheyenne, WY. This customer-facing role maintains server uptime, troubleshoots hardware issues, and performs on-site maintenance with brief downtime.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in enterprise servers or data centers, Linux experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. On-call rotations and flexible schedules accompany a strong team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience supporting enterprise servers, field service, or data center environments.
Hands-on experience with server hardware components (CPUs, memory, power supplies, GPUs) and complete server builds.
Experience with server deployments, hardware swaps, and on-site maintenance.
Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments and document work clearly.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and participate in on-call, flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site support for enterprise server and data center hardware.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, firmware, and operating system issues.
Perform server builds, deployments, hardware replacements, and firmware upgrades.
Replace server components including CPUs, memory, power supplies, GPUs, and complete server systems.
Perform preventive and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Document all work accurately and in real time.
Collaborate with engineering teams and customers throughout service activities.
Participate in on-call rotations and occasional off-shift support.
Attend required weekly project touchpoint calls.
