Job summary

Unisys Corporation seeks an experienced On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware environments, including next‑generation AI infrastructure.

This on-site role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining server hardware in data centers or field service, with strong emphasis on Dell PowerEdge equipment and customer-facing service delivery. AI experience not required, but readiness to travel and on-call work is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers and data center hardware
• Direct experience working on server hardware installing, removing, diagnosing, repairing components
• Experience with memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, RAID/HBA, NICs, cooling, PCIe, GPUs
• Experience with rack-mounted enterprise servers in data centers or field service
• Strong understanding of server hardware architecture and troubleshooting methodology
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures and system issues to minimize downtime
• Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair
• Perform firmware and BIOS updates and use server management tools such as Dell iDRAC
• Troubleshoot and isolate hardware failures using diagnostic procedures
• Escalate complex issues when appropriate
• Participate in on-call rotations and extended coverage
