Job summary

Knowledge Services in Marion, IN is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to process applications and maintain case information in the State eligibility system. You will handle inbound calls from Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF applicants and recipients, ensuring timely resolution of client service issues in accordance with FSSA policies.

The role requires basic education and strong attention to detail, with on-site work Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
Indiana Eligibility experience strongly preferred.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Accurate data entry and typing at least 40 keystrokes per minute.
Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven office environment.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Evaluate information submitted by customers to determine initial or continuing eligibility.
Verify customer information via system interfaces and exchanges.
Assist in answering inbound calls from customers.
Attend trainings and stay up-to-date with programs and systems.
Clarify eligibility information with customers when needed.
Maintain positive, professional communications with contacts.
Educate customers on basic program services and eligibility requirements.
