Job summary

The Construction Control Representative will support projects at Dyess AFB, TX as the on-site quality assurance representative, monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with contract requirements throughout pre-construction to closeout.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED (AA/Bachelor preferred) with 5+ years of DoD/federal construction experience, familiarity with RMS 3.0, OSHA EM 385-1-1, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting large, complex construction projects.
• Experience with federal construction projects (DoD/USAF/USACE) strongly preferred.
• Experience inspecting and monitoring construction quality, schedules, contractor performance, and contract compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction activities to ensure contract compliance and quality.
• Perform daily site inspections and document project activities, contractor performance, safety observations, work progress, and manpower levels.
• Monitor schedules and advise project team of potential delays, impacts, or performance concerns.
• Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, QC plans, safety plans, environmental plans, certifications, progress schedules).
• Participate in RFIs and coordinate responses with designers, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance and contract issues.
• Maintain project records, logs, reports, photographs, and inspection documentation.
• Assist with closeout activities, punch lists, turnover documentation, and warranty tracking.
