Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Construction Control Representative to support projects at Dyess AFB, TX. The person will act as the on-site QA representative, monitor contractor performance, ensure contract compliance, and support delivery from pre-construction through closeout.

The role requires inspecting construction activities, reviewing submittals, coordinating RFIs, and preparing reports. A DoD/USACE background and strong communication skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting large, complex construction projects.
• Experience with DoD/USACE projects strongly preferred.
• Experience inspecting and monitoring construction quality, schedules, contractor performance, and contract compliance.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, building systems, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience with the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control System preferred.
• OSHA/EM 385-1-1 knowledge preferred.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction activities for contract compliance and quality.
• Perform daily site inspections and document project activities and contractor performance.
• Monitor schedules and advise team of delays or performance concerns.
• Review submittals, including shop drawings and safety plans.
• Process RFIs and coordinate with designers, engineers and stakeholders.
• Prepare correspondence on contractor performance and contract issues.
• Conduct QA inspections across all construction phases and verify compliance.
• Assist in developing scopes, estimates, and contract modifications.
• Review payment requests and verify quantities and materials on-site.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 standards.
