Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc is seeking a Construction Control Representative on site at Dyess AFB (TX) to monitor contractor performance and ensure quality from pre-construction to closeout.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in large federal construction projects, strong QA and documentation skills, and ability to coordinate with design teams and field staff. A U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; degree preferred in CM/Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience supporting large, complex construction projects.
• Experience with federal construction projects (DoD/USACE) preferred.
• Experience inspecting construction quality, schedules and contract compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and EM 385-1-1 preferred.
• Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction activities to ensure contract compliance and quality.
• Perform daily site inspections and document project activities and progress.
• Monitor schedules and inform team of delays or performance concerns.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, quality and safety plans, and certifications.
• Participate in RFIs and coordinate responses with designers and engineers.
• Prepare correspondence on contractor performance and contract issues.
• Conduct QA inspections through all construction phases.
• Assist in developing scopes of work, government estimates, and contract modifications.
• Review payment requests and verify quantities completed.
• Ensure OSHA and EM 385-1-1 compliance and environmental requirements.
• Maintain project records, logs, photos, and correspondence.
• Support meetings, progress reviews, and site visits.
• Assist with closeout activities, punch lists, turnover, and warranty tracking.
