Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide advanced on-site IT support in a manufacturing/engineering setting. You will partner with stakeholders to assess technology needs, recommend solutions, and help ensure system uptime and data integrity across critical operations.

Responsibilities include evaluating risks, leading technology improvement efforts, and guiding decisions on hardware, software, and network configurations.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced on-site technical consultation, analysis, and assistance to users, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
• Evaluate operational technology needs, assess risks, and recommend IT solutions that support uptime and data integrity.
• Lead technology improvement efforts to reduce operational risk and improve reliability.
• Review existing technology and recommend improvements, standards, and long-term solutions.
