Job summary

Unisys is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to support enterprise data center servers and hardware in Wood Dale, IL. You will perform hands-on server maintenance, component replacements, and on-site troubleshooting for Dell PowerEdge systems and related hardware.

Strong diagnostic skills and customer-facing communication are required. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on experience with data center hardware, familiarity with Linux, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and travel to customer

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on experience with enterprise servers and data center hardware.
Diagnose, repair, replace server components (memory, CPUs, storage, cooling).
Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems and server management tools.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, travel to customer sites, and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
Perform hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair.
Rack-and-stack, cabling, and hardware configuration.
Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware issues and use server management tools.
Document service activities and escalation steps; communicate with customers.
