Job summary

Unisys is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to support enterprise data center servers and hardware environments. You will diagnose, repair, and replace components in a hands-on role within customers’ data centers, field service, or similar settings.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on server hardware experience, familiarity with Dell PowerEdge systems, RAID, GPUs, BIOS/firmware, and Linux environments, plus strong problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers or data center hardware.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing server hardware, BIOS/firmware, and component replacements.
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems and server management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform rack-and-stack, cabling, and hardware configuration tasks.
• Document service activities and resolutions; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and customer-facing service events.
