Job summary

Unisys is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to deliver hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and AI infrastructure. The role emphasizes diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining server hardware in customer-facing environments, with a strong focus on Dell PowerEdge platforms and iDRAC management.

Candidates should have 3+ years of hands-on server experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, travel to sites, and work in a flexible/on-call schedule.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers and data center hardware.
Direct, hands-on work on server components (memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, NICs, GPUs).
Experience with rack-mounted servers in data center or field/service environments.
Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems; strong troubleshoot/methodology.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
Perform hardware installation, removal, replacement and repair (DIMMs, CPUs, PSUs, drives, GPUs).
Rack-and-stack, cabling, component swaps and hardware configuration.
Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware, OS issues, and hardware diagnostics.
Update firmware/BIOS and use server management tools like iDRAC.
Document service activities and resolutions; escalate as needed.
Participate in on-call rotations and extended coverage as required.
