Job summary

Unisys Corporation seeks a hands-on server hardware technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise servers in data centers, field service, or customer sites. The role emphasizes direct hardware work, component replacement, BIOS/firmware updates, and onsite installation and troubleshooting.

You will work with customers and internal teams, document service activities, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise servers and data center hardware.
• Direct hardware work: install, diagnose, repair, replace components.
• Experience with server hardware troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with Linux or similar OS and server mgmt tools.
• Dell PowerEdge experience preferred with hardware management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform hardware installation, replacement, and rack/stack tasks.
• Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware issues and run hardware diagnostics.
• Document service activities and resolutions; communicate with customers.
