Job summary

Unisys is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to support Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise servers in data centers and customer sites. You will diagnose hardware failures, install and swap components, perform BIOS/firmware updates, and use server management tools to ensure optimal operation.

Applicants should have hands-on hardware experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Travel to customer sites and on-call availability are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining enterprise servers in data center or field service environments.
• Experience with rack-mounted servers and hardware components (memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, NICs, fans).
• Familiarity with server management tools and BIOS/firmware updates; Linux or similar OS knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication with customers, and documentation of service actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site hardware support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise servers.
• Diagnose and repair server hardware failures, install/replace components, and perform firmware updates.
• Perform rack-and-stack, cabling, and hardware configuration; document activities and resolutions.
• Escalate complex issues and coordinate with internal teams; participate in on-call rotations.
