Job summary

Gallery Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Director to support the Community Director in overseeing financial and operational aspects of the community. You will perform accounting, bookkeeping, rent collection, and prepare monthly close-out and financial reports using the property management system.

You will coordinate with the accounting department, manage invoices, and ensure lease enforcement to maximize revenue while maintaining resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete legal documents.
• Demonstrated mathematical skills to complete financial records and budgets.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Strong proficiency in using property management software (Yardi/One Site).

Responsibilities

• Collects and posts rent, fees, and other payments; prepares daily deposits and financial reports.
• Reviews invoices from vendors and service providers, codes charges, and coordinates with accounting and owners.
• Enters approved bills into the property accounting system and scans invoices for processing.
• Review resident files to determine unpaid or late fees; communicate with residents and pursue delinquencies.
• Follow eviction procedures per policy and represent the property in court as needed.
• Process move-outs and apply deposits/fees per lease terms; ensure proper disposition.
• Respond to complaints and service requests to promote resident satisfaction and retention.
• Act as on-site supervisor in Community Manager's absence and coordinate maintenance.
