Job summary

Encore in Philadelphia seeks an AV Technician to set up and operate basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality setting, ensuring guest satisfaction. The role reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.

Responsibilities include equipment setup/breakdown, customer service, troubleshooting, and accurate paperwork. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Must complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
  • Internal applicants must meet training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s program.
  • 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate company vehicles.
  • Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and breakdown basic audiovisual equipment to ensure a flawless event.
  • Strive to exceed guest and client expectations through effective communication and service.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or software issues promptly.
  • Follow company processes, complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
  • Coordinate with clients and vendors to finalize orders and invoices.
