Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, delivering exceptional service to event guests.

This role reports to the Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology and involves on-site guest interaction, troubleshooting, and accurate paperwork. Candidates should have a HS diploma, AV experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio‑visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate company vehicles.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic AV equipment for events.
• Exceed customer expectations and maintain positive relationships.
• Communicate with guests on site to confirm needs and verify equipment setup.
• Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues as they arise.
• Follow company processes and complete system entries and paperwork.
• Use equipment sheets to determine scheduled equipment and coordinate with staff.
• Apply floor upselling techniques to increase revenue.
• Finalize invoices with clients and complete order entries.
