Job summary

Bechtel is hiring a Construction Field Superintendent in New Albany, Ohio to oversee subcontractor coordination, safety, quality, and scheduling on a major project. You will supervise field staff, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure adherence to safety codes and project budgets.

The role requires leading multiple disciplines, managing lookaheads and critical paths, and driving recovery actions when needed.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience leading field staff and coordinating cross-discipline activities in large-scale construction projects.
• Must ensure safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for jobsite operations including onsite activities of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and their representatives and others as may be assigned within area of responsibility.
• Establishes, coordinates and implements construction schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Controls jobsite expenditures in assigned area for labor, equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within budget.
• Responsible for overall supervision of personnel in assigned area of responsibility.
• Mantenimiento de relationships with the client and their representatives, as assigned.
• Ensures that Bechtel and local/national regulatory safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with in assigned area of responsibility.
• Actively participates in scheduled safety meetings.
• Performs general administrative functions inherent in jobsite supervisory positions.
• Ensures corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented.
• Provides back-up support to the Field Superintendent and/or Field Construction Manager.
