Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Field Supervisor for a large semiconductor plant project in New Albany, Ohio. You will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders, coordinating subcontractor management staff.

Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to align with schedules and that work methods are executed safely.

Qualifications

• Area execution leadership: Lead and integrate all field professional staff within the area to deliver safe, coordinated, and efficient construction execution.
• Cross-discipline work planning: Align civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and piping activities to area priorities, sequencing, and constraints.
• Schedule & performance ownership: Own area lookaheads, productivity, and critical path impacts; proactively remove constraints and drive recovery actions.
• Safety, quality & compliance leadership: Set expectations and ensure consistent application of HSE and QA/QC requirements across all disciplines in the area.
• Stakeholder coordination & decision authority: Act as the primary field interface for superintendents, construction management, engineering, and project controls; elevate and resolve issues decisively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for jobsite operations including onsite activities of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and their representatives and others as may be assigned within area of responsibility.
• Establishes, coordinates and implements construction schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Controls jobsite expenditures in assigned area for labor, equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within budget.
• Responsible for overall supervision of personnel in assigned area of responsibility.
• Maintains relationships with the client and their representatives, as assigned.
• Ensures that Bechtel and local/national regulatory safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with in assigned area of responsibility.
• Actively participates in scheduled safety meetings.
• Performs general administrative functions inherent in jobsite supervisory positions.
• Ensures corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented.
• Provides back-up support to the Field Superintendent and/or Field Construction Manager.
